- HTG Global Resources is
a service of the Handy Tech Group, Inc., which was founded in
1993. HTG Global Resources was established to address those customers
and prospects who desire Lower Cost Region sourcing options in areas of
specialization.
- Our organization is
made up of 3 outside Field Sales Specialists and two Inside Sales
Representatives.
Staff Bios
- Charlie Handy – President: Before
starting Handy Tech, held numerous high level positions within
Fairchild Corporation including VP of Sales for Fairchild’s $110
million Specialty Fastener Business. At Fairchild, Mr. Handy developed
new joint ventures with Eastern Europe and Asian companies relative to
proprietary mechanical hardware and titanium products. He has over 27
years of technical sales and project and sourcing management experience
and holds an MBA degree and CPMR recognition.
- Allen Schweriner – VP: Allen has over
25 years of sales and marketing experience for LCR type manufacturers
to the Atlanta and Southeast markets. Before coming aboard Handy Tech,
Allen was GM of Thomas Hardware, a well know electronics and industrial
latch mechanism distributor. Allen has a BS degree and presently going
for CPMR status
- Warren Nelson - Technical Sales
Specialist: Warren has over 25 years of sales and management experience. He comes to
us from Aearo Technology where he was East Coast regional sales manger
for the past 5 years. Warren also held senior sales management
positions at Allied Signal / Honeywell in the materials group. He has a
background in engineering and electronics and is a certified Six Sigma
green belt. Warren covers Florida where he has worked and resided for
the past 25 years.
- Vic Merryman – Marketing and New
Business Development: Vic had his own successful manufacturing rep firm
that represented one of the largest Asian electronic components
suppliers for over 15 years. Most recently was a sales consultant. Vic
duties include: acts as inside sales for various accounts; does
extensive account prospecting; generates internal marketing support
materials; in house MIS support; and related sales research.
- Chris Woods – Customer Care and
New Business Development: Chris has over 18 years experience in the sales of
mechanical hardware. She has worked in export sales with Altenloh,
Brinck & Co., a state-of-the art screw manufacture. Chris worked
with outside sales to develop a successful South American
representation network. She then moved to technical sales with Dirak,
Inc., a global manufacture of hinges, latches and profiles for 11
years. After moving to NC, she joined our team. Her current duties are
the support of our sales staff in customer care as well as new business
development.
